In A there are visible deletions of the endings of the slurs over the staccato dots in bars 201-204. Instead of them, Chopin added new, shorter endings below, reaching the note heads. The aim of these corrections remains unclear, perhaps the goal was to graphically emphasise the dots. The sign under the 1st triplet in the R.H. is to be interpreted as a long accent, according to us. In the editions it was extended to the middle of the last triplet, which suggests performing the first part of this sequence diminuendo, certainly contrary to Chopin's intention. In A one can see a deletion of the long accent over the part of the R.H. in this place. The change of the clearly long accents in A to short ones is certainly a result of an inaccuracy of GE (→FE→EE). The version of A (→GE→FE1), changed by Chopin in the proofreading of FE2 (→EE), was already a result of a correction in A – originally, the 7th quaver was most probably a c2.
