A (→GE) features a d2 as the penultimate quaver in bar 415. In the proofreading of FE (→EE), Chopin changed the notation of this note to e2. He performed an identical change in the notation of the topmost note of the chord on the penultimate quaver in bar 423. Similarly in bars 455 and 463.

In A (→GE) the crotchet of the bottom voice is written as a g2. Similarly, the bottom note of the 3rd quaver is a g1. While proofreading FE (→EE), Chopin changed the notation of both notes to a2(1), in accordance with the way in which he wrote all subsequent appearances of similar bars.

The version of A (→GE) is most probably the original review of this chord, left by inadvertence (haste). It is proved by the undoubtedly Chopinesque proofreading of FE (→EE) and by the corrections visible in A in the repetition of this bar (bar 456).

The version of A with the b-f1 fifth is most probably a remaining element of an earlier version of this bar, with d as the bass note (see the previous note). In GE1 (→FE1) Chopin introduced a third instead of the fifth; however, the proofreading was performed inaccurately, forgetting about the  before the bottom note. FE2 tried to correct this mistake, yet the added sign was misplaced before the top note. The correct text appears just in EE.

When interpreted literally, the version of A (→GE1→FE1) is certainly erroneous, although both bars are written in the same way for the second time (bars 462-463). It is proved by the B-g-d1-f1 chord (and not -e1) in the orchestra, played from the beginning of bar 422, and above all by the flats lowering e3 to e3, which were added in both bars in the proofreading of FE2 (→EE), almost certainly by Chopin. Flats were added also in GE2.
