We interpret the imprecise notation of A – in bar 174 there is no ending of the slur started on the previous page, in bar 173 – in the main text as Chopin wrote it in analogous bars 169-170 and 171-172. The absence of the first slur in GE1 (→FE→EE) must be an inaccuracy. GE2 repeated the slur included in GE (→FE) in bars 169-170.
