Staccato marked in A over the last crotchet in the parts of both hands is, according to us, a remaining element of the original version, in which the notes were not tied – cf. the note on the tie in the L.H. Therefore, we omit these dots in the main text. In GE1 (→FE→EE) the dot of the L.H. was omitted, which must be an oversight, since two previous dots were also overlooked. In turn, the absence of both dots in GE2 is a revision, probably based on a reasoning similar to ours.
