Interpretation of the slurs beginning in bar 29 encounters difficulties, since both the first and the second are written in A in a way allowing for various interpretations. The first, when interpreted literally, would separate the grace notes starting the trill from the trilled note, hence it has to reach either further, which we consider the text of A, or closer, as it was interpreted in GE (→FEEE). The second begins over the triplet, yet an intention of it having started earlier cannot be entirely excluded. Therefore, one can deem the interpretation of GE (→FE) to be justified too; even the version of EE cannot be definitely considered to be incompatible with Chopin's intention.

Fourth a-d1 in A, FE (→EE) & GE2

Sixth f-d1 in GE1

..

The sixth in GE1 is a clear example of a Terzverschreibung error, corrected by Chopin in FE (→EE). The correct version was introduced also in GE2.

Slur to semiquaver g1 in A

Slur to quaver a1 in GE1 (→FEEE)

Slur to semiquaver a1 in GE2

The slur beginning on the 4th beat of bar 29 embraces in A the entire 1st beat of bar 30. Earlier endings visible in GE1 (→FEEE) and GE2 are certainly arbitrary.

Long accent in A, probable interpretation

No mark in GE1 (→FEEE)

Short accent in GE2

..

The accent over the trill in A is clearly shorter than long accents at the beginning and end of this bar. However, long accents in the next bars already do not contrast so expressly with the discussed sign, hence we consider its interpretation as a long accent to be most likely. The missing accent in GE1 (→FEEE) is certainly an oversight. The sign was added in GE2 (as a short accent).

Slurs in A

EE (→EE1)

EE2 (→EE3)

..

It is hard to understand what the rationale of the engraver of GE1 was when he was drawing slurs so dissimilar to the notation of A. It may be that the slur beginning over the trill in bar 31 was added in the last stage of proofreading as an ad hoc, simplified correction: it is absent in FE (→EE1; in later EE the slur was added). This time, GE2 did not restore the slurs of A; it only removed the slur above the sextuplet.
