composition: Op. 21, Concerto in F minor, Mvt I

In A the part of the L.H. is written in an abbreviated manner as a sequence of minims provided with signs of a quaver tremolo. In GE1 the notation was repeated only in bars 61-62. In the remaining editions all abbreviations were explained, as in the main text. category imprint: Source & stylistic information issues: GE revisions , Abbreviated notation of A , FE revisions |

composition: Op. 21, Concerto in F minor, Mvt I

A typical Chopin oversight – a missing restoring e2 – was not corrected in any of the editions. It is particularly bizarre in FE where the before e2 was removed, unnecessarily repeated on the 4th semiquaver in A (→GE). category imprint: Interpretations within context; Editorial revisions issues: Errors in FE , Errors in EE , Omissions to cancel alteration , Errors in GE , Cautionary accidentals , Errors of A , FE revisions |

b. 114
|
composition: Op. 21, Concerto in F minor, Mvt I
..
In A (→GE) a is missing before the 8th semiquaver in the L.H. (d1). In turn, Chopin repeated a before b1 in the L.H. at the end of the bar. FE removed the second sign, yet did not add the first one. EE includes the fully correct notation. category imprint: Interpretations within context; Differences between sources issues: EE revisions , Accidentals in different octaves , Cautionary accidentals , FE revisions |
