Both accents in A are typical long accents, which was not reproduced in the editions. Moving the first under the 3rd quaver is almost certainly a mistake of the engraver of FE (→EE), who adapted this half of the bar to the adjacent ones. In the main text we move the first accent over f
2, in accordance with the notation used by Chopin in the recapitulation (bar 285), more accurate according to us.
