Slurs

b. 145-146

composition: Op. 35, Sonata in B♭ minor, Mvt I

..

GE1 lacks the first R.H. slur in each of these bars. It is most probably an oversight by the engraver, corrected in GE2.

b. 147

composition: Op. 35, Sonata in B♭ minor, Mvt I

One slur in GC (→GE)

Two slurs in FE (→EE)

..

In the main text we give the slurring of FE (→EE), analogously to the remaining bars of this section. However, it cannot be excluded that it is the slur of GC (→GE) that is authentic.

b. 149

Slur in GC, FE (→EE) &GE2

No slur in GE1

..

The missing slur in GE1 is surely an engraver's mistake, corrected in GE2.

b. 151

b. 152

composition: Op. 35, Sonata in B♭ minor, Mvt I

One-bar slur in GC (→GE)

No slur in FE

Half-bar slur in EE

..

In GC two semi-bar slurs of the L.H. were combined, probably by Chopin. We include the correction in the main text, particularly due to the fact that EE includes an incomplete slurring in this place, whereas FE does not contain it at all.
