Staccato & accents suggested by the editors

The abbreviated notation of the recapitulation in [A] (→GC) proves that Chopin did not foresee differences in the notation of both extreme sections. Due to this fact, in the main text we add articulation signs – wedges, dots and accents – on the basis of respective bars of the initial section of Scherzo (bars 22-25). In the case of bars 211 and 213, the absence of indications in EE may be considered to be an additional argument for the authentic character of the additions in bars 23 and 25 – the revisers are generally more careful than the composers and they tend to compare similar places.
