The first one from among the subsequent impressions of GE1 in which the musical text was changed and a number of errors and inaccuracies corrected. It was offered for sale both as part of the entire opus 27 and as a separate score; we present a copy of the latter version of its publication.
Those who were preparing GE2 most probably used [A] as a reference again; this is evidenced by the changes that are not obvious but reflect the authentic corrections of FE, e.g. in bar 14 and 17. The supposition is also confirmed by the fact that a similar procedure was used for Nocturne in D flat major no. 2. Chromatic signs were also supplemented, both obligatory ones (in bar 45) and cautionary ones (e.g. in bar 78).
