b. 83

composition: Op. 27 No 1, Nocturne in C# minor

First octave without accidentals in GE (→FEEE)

Sharps pencilled into FED.

..

Chopin certainly regarded the pitch of the recitative's first octave as determined by before the minim b at the beginning of the bar. However, the rules of notation require accidentals before the octave as well, at least before its lower note. The inaccuracy was corrected by Chopin in FED.

b. 92-93

composition: Op. 27 No 1, Nocturne in C# minor

No tie in GE (→FEEE)

Tie added in FED

..

The crotchet b1 in bar 92 is not tied to bar 93 in GE (→FEEE). A comparison with the analogous bars 25-26 suggests a possible oversight of the tie. The sign pencilled by Chopin into FED confirms this assumption.
