Slur in GC, FE & EE

Slur & '3' in GE1

Only '3' in GE2 (→GE3)

In the main text we preserve the additional slur under the quaver triplet, in spite of the fact that it probably indicates only the use of an irregular group. However, Chopin did not mark it clearly, as in GC, FE and EE the '3' digit is absent. In this situation each of these three versions of source notation can be considered as justified (cf. General Editorial Principlesp. 16).
