Accent in FE

Chopin consistently separated the phrase in the middle voice in the R.H. only in the proofreading of FE, by introducing the following additions and changes, absent in the remaining sources:

  • he indicated that the phrase begins already on the last beat of bars 58 and 78, by adding an accent on the beginning it a1 and embracing it with an additional slur under the stave;
  • extended the d1 note, ending the phrase, to a crotchet on the 3rd beat of bars 60 and 80 (the change was also introduced in EE2 and EE3);
  • removed b in the last quaver of bars 60 and 80 (the note was also removed in EE2, reintroduced in EE3).
