c2-e2 in FC (→GE1), FE, EE & GE2 (→GE3)

d2-f2 in GE1b

..

The version of GE1b with the d2-f2 third results most probably from the re-engraving of the final fragment of this bar due to wear and tear of the engraver plate (cf. similar situations in Andante spianato from Op. 22 or Concerto in F minor, op. 21, mvt. I). The remaining sources have notes at the correct height (which does not mean that the text is correct – see the previous note in this bar).

b. 36

composition: Op. 25 No 6, Etude in G♯ minor

..

Same as previously, in FE, EE1 and GE1, the abbreviated notation of FC and remaining Stichvorlage manuscripts were misinterpreted in FE, EE1 and GE1, which gave the 2nd, 3rd and 4th group of semiquavers without any accidentals. The mistake was corrected in EE2 (→EE3) and GE2 (→GE3).
