If we were to take into account leggierissimo over the part of the R.H., one can assume that from bar 73 is not valid here anymore. Therefore, we consider , present only in FC (→GE), to be a mean precising the notation and we include it in the main text. A natural explanation of the lack of this indication in FE and EE would be its addition in FC by Chopin, however, determining whether it was so is not easy, as Chopin had a few ways of writing this letter – e.g., on two bottom lines of the 2nd page of the autograph of the Mazurka in C major, Op. 24 No. 2 (bars 49-66), appears six times (including also in bar 56); on four occasions, the sign is present in its most easily recognisable form, yet in bar 53, and particularly in bar 62, it is written differently, in a way resembling the discussed indication in FC.
