GE2 (→GE3GE4GE5) & EE2 added two crotchet rests in the bottom voice of the L.H. In this type of context Chopin would often omit rests, as the moment of playing the notes was clear thanks to the vertical alignment of notes.

gin chord in A (→FE1)

g2 in FE2 (→EE) & GE

..

The version of A (→FE1) – with g2 on the 1st quaver – although theoretically possible – is, according to us, most probably erroneous. Anyways, in the proofreading of FE2 (→EE), the  from before the 2nd quaver was moved over the first, almost certainly at Chopin's order. The sign was added also in GE, which is most probably an opportune revision of the editor. Cf. bar 76.

Inverted long accent in A (→FEGE1GE2)

Short accent in GE3 (→GE4GE5)

No mark in EE

..

The sign written by Chopin in A is in this context undoubtedly a reversed sign of long accent. Such signs are not very frequent in Chopin's autographs, yet they are always present next to a second (usually semi-tone) step upwards – introducing an expressively important note. The accent was correctly reproduced by the engraver of FE (→GE1). In GE2 (→GE3GE4GE5) the reviser included a common short accent, whereas in EE the sign was totally overlooked.
