Issues : Inaccuracies in FE

b. 24-25

composition: Op. 10 No 9, Etude in F minor

No marks in AI & FE (→GE,EE)

Wedges in A

Our variant suggestion

..

According to us, it is highly unlikely that the wedges over d1, which are present only in A, were deleted in FE (→GE,EE) on purpose. Therefore, in the main text we suggest a possibility of considering them.

One  sign in A & GE2 (→GE3GE4)

Two signs in FE (→GE1,EE)

Doubled  hairpins in FE (→GE1,EE) may be explained with Chopin's proofreading of an inaccurately arranged mark: at the beginning the engraver arranged  too low, so it seems that it refers to the L.H., which Chopin corrected by adding the 2nd mark over the R.H. The change is of an ad hoc nature, hence in the main text we give the version of A. The correct notation was also guessed in subsequent GE,s.
