Issues : Errors in EE
b. 53-55

composition: Op. 38, Ballade in F major

The incomplete and different slurring in EE results most probably from inaccuracy and mistakes by the engraver. The two-bar slur in bars 54-55 (and a similar one in bar 56-57) is placed over a figurate passage that resembles a uniform, ascending-descending arpeggio, and encompasses a half of line. It has not much in common either with the slurs in A, or with the real phrasing. category imprint: Differences between sources issues: EE revisions , Errors in EE |

b. 63-67

composition: Op. 38, Ballade in F major

In EE and FE crescendo is incomplete: in EE it ends in bar 65, while in FE it lasts only for half of bar 63. These errors probably result from the transition to a new line in FE and to a new page in EE. category imprint: Interpretations within context; Differences between sources issues: Errors in FE , Errors in EE |

In A there is a vertical slur written before the chord with the grace note, indicating an arpeggio. The sign is poorly visible and it was omitted in FE and EE. In GC (→GE) the arpeggio was recreated correctly.
