Slur in A (→FE) & GE

No slur in GC & EE

..

GC and EE overlook the slur in the L.H. Despite the error of GC, the revisers of GE added the slur after analogous bars 145-146, which do not raise any doubts.

As a result of an oversight, the note in the L.H. in GC is a minim. The extending dot was added in GE.

As in bar 169, next to the bottom note of the 1st sixth in the 2nd half of the bar there is no accidental neither in A nor in GC and FE, which were proofread by Chopin. Therefore, we should accept this note to be d2, and that is what we give in the main text, supplemented with a cautionary

A (→FE1,EE,GCGE1GE2) has a c1-ffourth as the 2nd quaver. A comparison with analogous bar 169 points to a highly likely Chopin's error, which is proven by Chopin's proofreading of FE2 (→FE3). The correct version, most probably based on the mentioned analogy, was introduced also in GE3

Slurs in EE

..

In FE and GE the slur was moved under the dyads, which effectively changed its meaning – instead of embracing the c2-bmotif, it indicates to hold f1. Moreover, both in GE and in EE, a similarly placed slur was arbitrarily added in the 2nd half of the bar.
