While proofreading FE (→GE,EE), Chopin changed the notation of the bottom note of the 5th and 6th semiquavers from e1 to d1. At the same time, he did not realise that after the change, a returning d1 in the last pair of semiquavers should be added. The slur of A (→FE→GE,EE3) reaches only the last quaver in bar 35. In the main text we suggest a slur modelled on the slur Chopin extended in A in analogous bars 2-3. Omission of the hairpins in FE (→GE,EE3) is certainly an error of the engraver. The sign of A appears also in two analogous places (bars 4 and 12).
