The shift of the  returning a1 was certainly performed by Chopin who introduced a few changes in this section of the Etude with respect to the version of A.

In A there are no accidentals before the last note of each semiquaver group. These patent oversights were corrected in the editions: a  before the 6th note was added in FE (→GE,EE), a  before the 12th note – in GE2 (→GE3GE4GE5) and EE4.

Long accent in GE1

We consider the mark added in a proofreading of FE (→GE1,EE) to be a long accent. Lack of the mark in GE2 (→GE3GE4GE5) is certainly a result of an oversight.

A has a cautionary  before aand not before d1. The accidental before d1, which is more justified, was added in the last proofreading of FE (→EE), as well as in GE2 and subsequent GE,s. In the main text we omit the first of the aforementioned accidentals.
