The missing dot extending the c2 minim is, according to us, the composer's error. Chopin would often extend or separate some of the notes with additional stems or ties without taking care of the rhythmic values of these "voices" to fill the entire bar. However, in this case the rhythmic gap concerns the main melodic line, which was rather not intended, as Chopin embraced it with a slur. The mistake was corrected in GE2 (→GE3→GE4) and EE4.
