In the sources the range of cresc. was not specified, yet it is not that obvious. In Chopin's notation, verbal dynamic indications are to a certain extent independent from the hairpins, therefore, it is possible that cresc. is supposed to reach even the beginning of bar 76, in which dim. appears.
