The combination of and an accent was willingly used by Chopin. However, in the described bars its authenticity is questioned by:

differences between FEF and GEF – both editions include
only in bar 26; in bars 28 and 30 the sign is present only in FEF; it could be explained by the fact that Fontana added
only in the latest proofing of FEF;

differences between the main part of the Polonaise and its repetition Da Capo written out in notes –
in FEF in bars 28 and 30 and lack of the sign in bars 28(r) and 30(r);

graphic separation of the combination's elements, i.e.
and the accent.
