Rhythm in JC & EF

Rhythm in PE

The phrases led in thirds in bars 25, 27, 29, and 31 display a wide range of rhythmic variety in the previous sources:

Bar Sources Rhythm

27 JC & EF
29 JC
29 EF
31 JC & EF

According to us, the differences demonstrate a still not entirely clarified vision of those places. Moreover, it cannot be excluded that [AI] included some not entirely legible corrections, which is indicated by the difference in rhythm in bar 29. In the given in the main text version of PE, Chopin decided to introduce one and the smoothest rhythmic variant in all bars, while adding a subtle articulation detail at the second appearance of the phrase (the version with rest in bar 27).
