Long accent in EE

Hairpin in GC & FE

Hairpin in GE

It is hard to consider a longer mark in GE as an accurate copy of the GC notation (in any case, in bars 41-42 the same notation was read more accurately), while a long accent present in EE may exemplify Chopin's intentions. In the main text we present a version based on two consistent sources, GC and FE that most probably originated from the two autographs.
