Our suggestion

Alternative slurring

The sources where the quaver figuration begins slightly later than in all corresponding 19 places make us seek reasons for such a distinct edition of this bar. We believe Chopin wanted to conform to the common f4 scale range of the grand piano. Since already some dozen years after Scherzo was written the typical grand piano scale became A2-c5, in the main text we suggest to supplement the figuration in line with the remaining places. In our proposed version we retain the possibility to choose between the two slurring variants which regularly appear in corresponding bars.

In EE there is no treble clef after the last rest.
