The editors' suggestion |
It is not certain whether the dot visible in A between the two notes of the sixth a1-f2 is a staccato sign or a miniature blot of ink without any significance. In all the places where Chopin marked staccato in a similar context, dots are placed above the notes. Therefore we leave the decision about taking this particular dot into consideration to the performer.
