In A (→GE2→GE3), is placed after the 3rd crotchet. In GE1 (→FE→EE), pedal marks were entirely omitted, which is definitely an error. In our opinion, the notation of A may be inaccurate, that is why we propose earlier pedal release as in analogous bars 13, 37, 45. category imprint: Interpretations within context; Differences between sources issues: Errors in GE |

b. 104

composition: Op. 24 No. 4, Mazurka in B♭ minor

The long accent written by Chopin in A was reversed in GE1 (→FE) so that it resembles small crescendo hairpins. In EE that reversed mark, difficult to understand in the context, was omitted altogether. GE2 introduced a short accent, yet assigned it to the sixth in the L.H. That latter inaccuracy was corrected in GE3 category imprint: Differences between sources issues: EE revisions , Errors in GE , GE revisions , Sign reversal |

The type of accent used by Chopin in A is not quite obvious, yet both its shape and the comparison with analogous bars (120 and 122) clearly point to a long accent. In GE1 (→FE→EE) the accent was omitted and in GE2 (→GE3) a short one was added. category imprint: Graphic ambiguousness; Differences between sources issues: Long accents , Errors in GE |

The phrasing slur in bars 139-140 can only be found in A (→GE2→GE3). The omission of that slur in GE1 (→FE→EE) is an error probably resulting from the notation of A, in which the slur partially overlaps with the word sempre. category imprint: Differences between sources issues: Errors in GE |
