It should be considered whether the second  that appears in GE (→FE→EE) may result from Chopin's correction. Traces of Chopin's interventions in the text are scarce in GE1 for the entire Opus 24, the most obvious such trace being the corrections of slurs in the Mazurka in C no. 2.
