The extent of the slur in the L.H. that begins in A on the 3rd crotchet of bar 56 is not quite clear. In the editors' opinion that slur probably led to the deleted chord at the beginning of bar 57. In GE1 (→FE) it was brought as far as the 2nd crotchet, which does not follow in any way from A. In this entire fragment the marks are clearly placed in A at the end of the bar, after the 3rd crotchet. Still, in GE1 (→FE→EE) they were placed under the 3rd crotchet in all the bars.
