composition: WN 55, Waltz in F minor

The genre marking Valse was written by Chopin in AR, AE, AG. Additionally, it was added in foreign hand:
- in pencil in ARValse Oeuvres posthumes op. 70 no 2
- in pencil in AGValse en fa min.

The marking Valse is present also in CC and CY, whereas AO, AK and CX are devoid of it.

In FEF and GEF, we give in brackets a tied a-cthird on the 1st beat in the L.H., which refers to the repetition of the whole Waltz in those sources.

The versions differ in the duration of the second value in the L.H. In the autographs, the 3rd beat is a crotchet, in the editions (F) - a minim.

The crotchet on the 1st beat in the L.H. in CX may be considered a copying inaccuracy as well as the dotted minim in CC - those versions are not confirmed by any of the autographs.
