In AK, the first quaver in the R.H. is written separately. Such a way of notation was certainly aimed at highlighting the ending of the music phrase and the beginning of a new one - leading to the main theme of the waltz in a new key - parallel - in bar 9. category imprint: Interpretations within context; Differences between sources |

In the F sources (PE, FEF and GEF), on the 1st beat in the R.H. there are two parts with an e1 dotted minim in the bottom voice. We consider this version to be erroneous, since the extension of the e1 note to the 3rd beat interferes harmonically with the e1 note in the L.H. on the 3rd beat. We adopt a minim for the editorial version of these sources. In AR, there is a poorly visible e1 minim written in pencil in the bottom voice - it may be a lesson comment. category imprint: Differences between sources; Editorial revisions issues: Rhythmic errors |
