In A the arms of the hairpin beginning in the preceding bar have a different length. As in many other similar situations, we consider the top arm to be reliable, written first. The GE version (→FE,EE,IE) is a similar revision as in the case of the slur in these bars or a mistake – the engraver could have taken the bottom arm of the mark for a slur, in A written over the L.H. octaves.
