b. 198

in A

No indication in GE (→FE,EE,IE)

In the main text we provide the  indication as it was written in A. Its absence in GE (→FE,EE,IE) could be interpreted as a result of the engraver's hesitance as to its position, hence to its meaning. Actually, the comparison with analogous bar 15 suggests a completely different dynamic concept for these almost identical fragments. Therefore, one could have doubts whether this indication is just an echo of an earlier concept for this place, left by inattention – cf. the notes on I mov., bar 155 and 179. According to us, due to the above, the version of the editions could be considered an acceptable variant.
