In A there is no accidental to the 8th quaver in the bar, which must be a mistake, since f is ruled out in this context. Therefore, there are two possibilities left:
- f as the most natural interpretation of a note written without an accidental, the smoothest, melodically speaking;
- f, which Chopin could have deemed obvious following the R.H. f1 note.
GE (→FE,EE,IE) adopted the former, adding a to the discussed note. We consider this version the content transcription of A and provide it in the main text.
