The notation of accidentals in the first two chords in the bar differs significantly between the sources:
- In the 1st chord A and FE (→EE) include accidentals to each note. In GE1 the cautionary
to a
1 was overlooked, which was then added in GE2. In the main text we omit the cautionary sharps to the L.H. octave.
- In the second chord in A there are no accidentals to the outermost notes in the R.H. part, which, when interpreted literally, would result in c
1 and c
2. In FE (→EE) only a
to the top note was added, while in GE – to both, which we also adopt to the main text.
