The notation of accidentals in the first two chords in the bar differs significantly between the sources:

  • In the 1st chord A and FE (→EE) include accidentals to each note. In GE1 the cautionary  to a1 was overlooked, which was then added in GE2. In the main text we omit the cautionary sharps to the L.H. octave.
  • In the second chord in A there are no accidentals to the outermost notes in the R.H. part, which, when interpreted literally, would result in c1 and c2. In FE (→EE) only a  to the top note was added, while in GE – to both, which we also adopt to the main text.
