In the main text we include the accents added – certainly by Chopin – at the stage of proofreading FE2 (→EE). The marks were added in a place without any dynamic indications, since 
is present only in A (→GE). Therefore, one can ponder whether Chopin did not regard these markings as an alternative. The fact that they should not be considered separately, which is what we believe, is supported by analogous bar 233, in which Chopin added to A both and the accents.
