It seems unlikely that the tie to f1 added at the stage of proofreading FE2 could have corresponded to Chopin's intention – cf. bars 70-71 and 159-160 and 239-240. It cannot be ruled out that this tie was left by mistake instead of a slur under the first two quavers in bar 73 (such a slur is present in A).
