g1 tied in A (→GE) & EE2

g1 tied in FE (→EE1)

It is difficult to say whether and which version is final. The tie to g1 is absent in FCs; therefore, a repetition of this note – as in FE, based on [FC] – is almost certainly the initial version. This suggests that Chopin added the tie to A after [FC] had already been finished, but it is also likely that he deleted it in this copy, which would mean that he returned to the initial concept. Last but not least, we cannot rule out the tie's oversight by the copyist or by the engraver of FE. In this situation, in the main text we give the version of the principal source, that is A.
The tie having been added to EE2 indicates that the edition was revised based on GE1.
