The missing in the sources could be an oversight, although such isolated
marks can often be found in Chopin's pieces, especially at the end, but not exclusively. In the main text we suggest adding [
] to keep the performer from an earlier pedal release, which could be contrary to Chopin's intention, considering the crescendo.
