b. 87-89

composition: Op. 30, Mazurka in D♭ major

in FC (→GE)

Shorter  in FE (→EE)

..

In the main text we give a  hairpin with a range corrected – probably by Chopin – in FC. A mark of an almost identical range is present in FE in analogous bars 17-19.

b. 87

composition: Op. 30, Mazurka in D♭ major

..

In the main text we include the cautionary  to b1, most probably added to FC (→GE) by Chopin.

b. 89

composition: Op. 30, Mazurka in D♭ major

No  in FC (→GE1)

in FE (→EE) & GE2

..

The missing  in FC (→GE1) must be an oversight by the copyist (in FC this bar ends the page, which is conducive to distraction – see below, the note on ). The mark was added in GE2, most probably by analogy with bar 19.

b. 89

composition: Op. 30, Mazurka in D♭ major

No sign in FC (→GE)

in FE (→EE)

..

The  hairpin was probably omitted in FC by Fontana, who committed a mistake while writing the preceding  mark (he wrote it too long). Therefore, in the main text we include the FE (→EE) mark. In analogous bar 19, a corresponding mark is only in FC (→GE).
