b. 21

composition: Op. 25 No 4, Etude in A minor

No slur in A & #EE

Slur in FC (→GE) & FE

The slur in FC was almost certainly added by Chopin, who added an analogous slur while proofreading FE.

composition: Op. 30 No. 4, Mazurka in C# minor

Dots & slurs in FC

No markings in FE (→EE)

Slurs in GE

..

In bars 22 and 24 the L.H. sets of markings – consisting of a staccato dot and a slur – could have been added by Chopin to [A] after FE had already been engraved. It is less likely that they could have been added by Chopin to FC, since they are not characteristic of Chopin's additions.
The absence of the dots in GE most probably resulted from an oversight (or perhaps they were ignored? – both are very small) by the engraver.
Similar situations are to be found in bar 28 and in bars 118, 120 and 122.

b. 24

composition: Op. 25 No 12, Etude in C minor

3 long accents in FC

5 short accents in FE

Short accent in EE1 (→EE2)

3 short accents in GE1

3 short accents in GE2 (→GE3)

3 short accents in EE3

..

In the main text we give long accents, written most probably by Chopin in FC. In this copy, one can also see deletions of the previously written accents under the part of the L.H., which shows that the double accents of FE is a previous version. Lack of the signs in EE1 (→EE2) is certainly a mistake, corrected in EE3 on the basis of GE1.
