The  mark present in FE (→GE,EE) is probably a mistake (cf. analogous bars 84, 88 and 236 where there is a ). Such erroneous swaps of those markings were quite frequent in first pieces published by Chopin in France (cf. the notes to the Etudes: in A Minor, Op. 10 No. 2, bar 12; in E, No. 3, bar 54; in C Minor, No. 4, bars 1, 8, 16, 26, 54; in E Minor, No. 6, bars 21 and 32, in C Minor, No. 12, bar 37).

The  indication, appearing in the editions, seems to be completely accurate after a few-bar-long crescendo and could have been accepted by Chopin. However, it is most probably only a result of a misinterpretation of A by the engraver of GE1. See also bar 249.
