composition: Op. 38, Ballade in F major

Slur to 3rd quaver in A (literal readingGCGE)

Slur to 6th quaver in A (contextual interpretation→FE,EE)

..

In A (→GC) the slur breaks in the middle of the bar, which in A is caused by the fact of writing the 2nd half on a new page. This is how it was understood in FE and EE, in which the slur reaches the end of the bar. In the graphic layout of GC, in which this bar is not divided, the erroneous shortening of the slur is not that obvious and was arbitrarily recreated in GE.

Pedalling in A, EEW2, GE2op (→GE3op) & GE2no2

No markings in FE (→GE1op,GE1no2,EEC,EEW1)

..

The absence of pedalling in a part of the editions is undoubtedly a consequence of an oversight of the engraver of FE.

GE does not have in the chord on the 3rd quaver in the bar. It is probably a mistake of the engraver.
