It is unclear how the abbreviation leggier. in FE and GE should be developed. In EE there is an indication leggiero, however, it is hard to suppose that Chopin would shorten a word by one letter. It is also highly unlikely that the last letter was omitted due to an incorrect reading of the manuscript by FE and GE, as the editions were based on different autographs. In the main text we propose leggierissimo, taking into account the probably later notation of Cadenza in small notes.
