Our suggestion

In all sources the  mark is placed between the last quaver in bar 26 and the first one in bar 27. Whereas the marks in FE (→EE) clearly refer to bar 27, the mark in GE – maybe due to the use of another narrower mark (Mechetti pedal sign ) – completely fits into bar 26. The notation of pedalling in Chopin’s autographs is sometimes inaccurate, as one can see by analysing, e.g., the notation of pedalling of Nocturne in D major Op. 27 No. 2, which is clear from the point of view of the piano art. Already the first three  marks on the page clearly show that there is no simple rule which would enable assigning them to suitable notes only on the basis of graphic relations between the marks, without referring to the piano experience.

In the discussed case both source pedalling versions offer a very similar sound effect. Therefore, in the main text we consider only one of them. As an alternative (or addition) to that version we propose a pedal depressed together with the appearance of the bass note of the B major chord filling the subsequent part of the bar.
