The version without f2, introduced – most probably by Chopin – at the stage of proofreading FE, is also a version that was entered into AsI, in which the note was also removed (deleted, like f in the L.H. on the same quaver). Therefore, if the correction to AsI preceded the preparation of A, we are dealing with Chopin's hesitation, who changed his mind on the presence of this note three times. Another possibility would be the initial version having been erroneously entered into A.
