In A both the  raising b2 to b2 and the flats restoring b1 and b2 are absent. The accidentals were added by GE (→FE,EE,FESB). Similar inaccuracies and mistakes are also in analogous bars 233 and 237.

In the main text we give the version of all sources. However, the comparison with identical – except this detail – bars 214 and 238 suggests that it could be Chopin's mistake, since there are no musical reasons for complicating the performance of these 3 bars with such an insignificant difference. Due to the above, we suggest an alternative version, compliant with the indicated, analogous bars.

In A the last two semiquavers in the parts of both hands are written down without any accidentals. Chopin's blatant oversight was corrected only by GE2 (→GE3,FESB), in which the necessary naturals and a cautionary  to e2 were added. In the main text we also add cautionary accidentals to e1 (which is absent in the editions – see the note below) and to a2.

Neither AsI nor A contains the flats restoring B-b on the penultimate semiquaver in the bar. Due to the analogy with bar 240, it must be Chopin's oversight. The accidental (one was enough, since the octaves were written down in an abridged manner) was added by GE (→FE,EE,FESB). See also bar 244.
